The newest bar to the Lawrence night-life scene is this one: The Barrel House. As you can probably tell from the picture, it is a dueling piano bar. Prior to tonight, I hadn't made a trip to the Barrell House despite the fact that it's been open for several months now (that's what comes with the working world...you're tired all the time!). But tonight, my roommate Jennifer texted me to come hang out at the Barrel House. Pete had surgery on his knee this morning and I have been his caretaker, so I couldn't stay for the evening, but I stopped in long enough to get this picture and take in a bit of the atmosphere. The ten minutes that I was there made me very excited about the place. I will definitely be stopping by again soon, and certainly house the Barrel House outlives it predecesors reputation.
